Goals:
Further deepening in the public sector and the role of the internal audit department of municipality and public institutions. And also bringing the participants up to date with all recent developments in this sector and internal control of this sector.

Interim professionals working at and via RSG Finance
Finance professionals at (potential) customers of RSG Finance
Members of the IIA

Program and activities:

Program: In five sessions, the following topics are covered:

  • Module 1: Environment Recognition. After a short introduction, the course focuses on the organizing of Administrative Netherlands and various administrative functions.

  • Module 2: Planning and control instruments. Such as framework policy documents and spring documents, but also planning and control instruments.

  • Module 3: The Public controller. Here the recent developments in this function are discussed, tasks and positioning of this position and various related topics.

  • Module 4: Specific areas of focus. This module further discusses topics such as the position and role of the accountant and specific taxes.

  • Module 5: Social domain and cooperation, issues such as decentralization, local administrative responsibility, related parties, P & C cycle and reporting.

Time frame::
Each module lasts one half day (4 hours), from 15.00 to 20.00 (including dinner)
